When the temperature in the city starts to rise, we all seek coolness and peace in the mountains. And what could be better than an escape to Vitosha – fresh air, greenery, and that feeling that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be? And why not help nature while we are there?
In June, we decided to join an initiative to clean the road leading to the “Golden Bridges” area. The event was organized by Greenpeace Bulgaria and the Septemvri Hut, who took care of providing food, gloves, trash bags, and a lot of good vibes.
The work felt easy because we were united – we laughed, shared stories, competed to see who would fill the most bags, and in the end, we did a great job! The energy and enthusiasm were contagious, and the effort was totally worth it. After the cleanup, we went up to the Septemvri Hut, where we had lunch together, relaxed, and finished the workday from this amazing place in the mountains.
Sometimes, it only takes a little effort to make nature more welcoming and clean—for ourselves, for future visitors, and for the mountain itself.
